The Consultation

When you arrive, you’ll meet with one of our chiropractors for a one-on-one consultation. This is simply a conversation. We’ll talk about:

  • What you’re experiencing.
  • How and when it started.
  • Your overall health history.
  • How your condition is affecting your daily life.
  • Your goals for care.

The Examination

The exam involves gentle, hands-on evaluation as we talk through what you’re feeling. The exam is generally painless, with occasional discomfort only if we’re reproducing certain motions related to your complaint. Our goal is to clearly understand WHY you’re not feeling your best. This hands-on evaluation may include:

  • Range of Motion Testing: Seeing how your body moves.
  • Joint Mobility Assessment: Checking for restrictions in the spine and extremities.
  • Muscle Tone Evaluation: Identifying areas of tension or weakness.
  • Neurological Testing: Performed when appropriate to check nerve function.

The Recommendation

Based on your exam findings, goals, and overall presentation, we’ll recommend a plan that makes sense for you. We consider several factors, including:

  • Whether symptoms began from trauma or injury.
  • Pain severity and frequency.
  • Range of motion limitations and muscle tension.
  • Whether pain radiates (sciatica, etc.).

Using this information, we determine a functional “wellness score,” which helps guide how much care is needed to reach your goals safely and efficiently.
